Ms. Sharon A. Spurgeon
CEO/Administrator

Sharon A. Spurgeon has worked for the Coalinga Regional Medical Center since l997. At the beginning of her career, her primary role was Patient Financial Services Manager, and in 2004 she was promoted to Chief Executive Officer.

Under her leadership and through wise fiscal management, the Medical Center has seen outstanding success. In 2006, the hospital purchased an additional skilled nursing facility thereby increasing bed capacity from 78 to 114.

The Medical Center was named the co-winner of the Coalinga Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year in 2007 and was the winner in 2009. In 2010, the Medical Center received the ACHD President's Club award.

Ms. Spurgeon is the past chair of the Fresno/Madera Section of the Hospital Council of Northern & Central California, and is a past At-Large Director of the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California and the HealthPlus Board of Directors.

Currently, Ms. Spurgeon is a member of the Alpha Council, and serves on the 2011 CHA Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of the California Hospital Patient Safety Organization (CHPSO).

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a minor in Psychology from California State University, Fresno.

Betty Hull
Chief Nursing Officer

Betty joined Coalinga Regional Medical Center from Canada in 1999 as the Manager of Emergency Services, the Operating Room and the Medical Surgical areas. In July 2010, Betty returned to Coalinga Regional Medical Center and assumed the role of Director of Patient Services, and now serves as the hospitals Chief Nursing Officer.

Betty's past experience includes leadership in Fresno County as well as Santa Clara County. Betty has 32 years of nursing experience, 12 of which are in nursing management. Her most recent role has been spent with Daughters of Charity Health System for the past five years as their Director/Senior Director of Emergency Services and Critical Care. She also directed a Council for Advanced Research and Education.

Betty is well known for her compassion and dedication to excellence. She has been awarded multiple acknowledgments for her dedication to nursing excellence.

Betty received her Diploma in Nursing from Wascana Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in Saskatchewan, Canada and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Betty has been a Certified Emergency Nurse for 16 years.

Betty is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives and the Association of California Nurse Leaders. She participates in the Beacon Collaborative for Northern and Central California. Betty is involved in the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California's Chief Nurse Executive meetings to work collaboratively to archive nursing and healthcare excellence in the Central Valley.

Sandra Earls
CFO

Sandra Earls has been the Chief Financial Officer for CRMC since August 2008. She has been with the hospital since August 1981 with managerial duties since 1987 that include Business Office Manager, Fiscal Activities Supervisor, Assistant Controller and Controller.

Sandra graduated from West Hills College with an Associates Arts degree in Accounting. She has been with the hospital through many exciting and challenging times. Sandra was instrumental in the passage of Measure M, the General Obligation Bond that was overwhelming passed by our community to construct the new hospital on Phelps Avenue .

Family is very important to Sandra. She has been married for 26 years to her high school sweetheart, Mack. They have two children that have made her very proud. Sandra has been active at the School District in volunteering and fund-raising. She coached a variety of youth sports programs throughout the years.

Amber Stiglianese
HR Manager

Amber Stiglianese has been with Coalinga Regional Medical Center since April of 2005. Before coming to the district, Amber lived in San Francisco and worked for several years as a Litigation Assistant in Aon Corporation’s legal department. Amber is a member of the Healthcare Human Resources Management Association of California (HHRMAC), a subdivision of the California Hospital Association (CHA). She is also a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Amber participates in the HR Executive Hospital Council of Northern and Central California ’s quarterly meetings to help specifically address the Human Resources challenges of area hospitals. Amber was also recently appointed to serve on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission of Kings County.

Amber received her BA in English Literature in 1997 from San Francisco State University , and received her MA in Industrial/Organization Psychology in 2003 from Golden Gate University in San Francisco .
